Skegex

Skegness, 4th - 6th July 2008

Skegex is without doubt the UK Meccano event of the year, and is attended by hundreds of Meccanofolk from the UK, Europe and the World.  Skegness is a well-known seaside resort suitable for families, with ample affordable accommodation close to the Meccano venues. 

The 3-day exhibition is hosted by the North Midlands Meccano Guild, and will be held this year at The Embassy Centre, North Parade, Skegness, Lincolnshire (see map) from Friday  4th - Sunday 6th July 2008.  All comers are welcome; optionally table space can be reserved (hall open for setting up Thursday PM).  Several Meccano dealers attend.

The NMMG Issigonis Shield is awarded by democratic vote, and social events are organised for the Friday and Saturday evenings.  The latter includes an official 5-course dinner with approximately 160 places which must be booked in advance.
