Download IPL

Spreadsheet and database applications and MeccInv provide more powerful facilities than this website for searching, sorting, grouping and printing IPL data.

IPL data can be downloaded for import into most PC or Mac applications.

Downloading to Excel, other Spreadsheet or Database

The IPL parts list can be downloaded in either Part Number or Source/Part Number order (NB Meccano part numbers are alphanumeric, and once imported, the list cannot be re-sorted into correct part number order).

To download in Part Number order, right-click here: Ipl_n.csv.  To download in Source/Part Number order, right-click here: Ipl_s.csv.

The Part List download files have the .csv extension which allows them to be loaded directly into Excel   They are plain-text ASCII files (identical to standard .txt files).  Columns are:  Source Code, Part No., Description, Size, Notes.

To download the manufacturer and supplier details, right-click here: Sources.txt.  Sources.txt can be read with any text editor.

Downloading to MeccInv

MeccInv 8.0 has specially-designed features for searching, indexing and printing the IPL, and provides a picture index and floating footnote display.  The IPL cannot be imported into earlier MeccInv versions.

To download the parts list, right-click here: Ipl_n.csv. 

In MeccInv, Import as a new inventory or as new parts into an existing inventory (see MeccInv Help).

To download the manufacturer and supplier details, right-click here: Sources.txt. 

Save Sources.txt in the \MeccInv folder.

To download the IPL part illustrations (1.5 MB), right-click here: IPLPics.zip. 

Extract files from IPLPics.exe into the \MeccInv folder.
